This course is run by John Dornan, an experienced Leadlighter, with over twenty years experience. This very comprehensive course which will allow students to produce a high standard of work & the confidence to continue alone. The aim of the course is to design & manufacture a traditional leadlight panel.
Areas covered include: Safety and health aspects of glass work, Glass cutting techniques, Use of art glass and selection principles and Designing for leadlights
Manufacturing Techniques include: Preparing cartoons, Selecting and cutting glass, Leading panels & Soldering techniques and Cementing and Finishing Process.

To ensure you gain the most from the course, numbers are limited. Places will be confirmed with a required $50 non-refundable deposit or the place may be given to the next in queue. The course must be paid in full 14 days prior to course commencement.

Weekend course- Saturday the 14th of April and Sunday the 15th of April- 9am to approximately 5pm
Evenings course – runs every Wednesday night for 5 weeks commencing 1st of August and finishing on the 29th of August – 6pm to 9pm
Weekend Course – Saturday 6th of October and Sunday the 7th of October – 9am to approximately 5pm
$275 for tuition, which includes a Fundamentals of Leadlighting book, Glass and Lead.
Students will need to supply or purchase their own tools.
To secure a position in a workshop we require a $50 deposit. Until the deposit is received your position may be forfeited. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
All workshops have a minimum enrolment required for the workshop to run. If Perth Art Glass reschedules or cancels a workshop the deposit remains valid for a rescheduled date or will be refunded if preferred by the student.
