Woven Textile Designs

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Saturday, repeating until 12 June, 2021

Join us to create beautiful woven textile designs in glass.  This very effective technique, mastered by Ian Dixon, is taught over a two day course which will cover design, colour selection, cutting and layout. Your design will then be slumped so that you have two stunning, finished pieces to take home.

In this new and exciting course, students will learn how to Mosaic using pieces of glass, bonded to a glass base. Glass on glass mosaicing is a fantastic way to create "stained glass" looking artwork without lead or soldering. This class is perfect for beginners.

This is an intermediate course for students with previous experience in basic Copperfoiling techniques. During the class, students will also learn how to create a lamp form and how to use the Beetlebits Cutting System.

Stained Glass Trinket Box – Intermediate Copperfoiling

6 November @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Working with our Copperfoiling pro, Claire Emery, students will learn how to create a stained glass trinket / jewellery box. This is an intermediate course for students with previous experience in basic Copperfoiling techniques; glass cutting, foiling and assembly. During the class, students will learn new soldering techniques, in conjunction with copperfoiling accessories that we have not used in any previous classes.  Students will also learn how to use the Beetlebits Cutting System.
