Our workshop is fully equipped with all of the quality raw materials and glass required to repair all elements of a stained glass panel. No matter if it has broken glass, crumbling cement or fractured and bowing lead, our expert staff are able to revive it!
As Glass Artists we specialise in the design and manufacture of Kiln-Formed Glass, commonly known as ‘Slumped Glass’. All of our textured glasses are custom made, one-off productions with no two panels identical keeping your project unique.
Our Stained Glass commissions are manufactured in our studio with high quality glass and materials ensuring their longevity. With an eye on sustainability and energy ratings we are able to offer a range of solutions such as triple glazing to enable the beauty of stained glass to be enjoyed in the most energy efficient new home.
Architectural Art
Perth Art Glass is experienced in creating and installing large scale glass art and windows for commercial projects, architects and builders. Our qualified tradesmen are able to install our stained glass commissions ensuring they meet current stringent AS1288 safety standards and are practiced in scaffolding.
Our curved glass is suitable for cabinet work and curves can be made up to 2.5m x 1m. We also manufacture convex glass for clock faces and the restoration of antique picture and photo frames and side and rear automotive and boat glass. Curves can be laminated in certain circumstances for increased safety.
Using a sheet coloured glass to glaze your doors is a wonderful way of adding colour and light to your home. We can laminating coloured glass to a sheet of 3mm clear glass thus giving you a Grade A safety glass which will meet all the current safety standards as well as making your home more secure and energy efficient.
In The Studio
All our bespoke art glass projects are created by a team of professionals in our O’Connor workshop. With one of the largest glass kilns in Australia for the production of Custom Textured Glass (Slumped glass), Perth Art Glass enables the client to design functional pieces of toughened Architectural Art Glass such as screening, partitions & frameless shower screens.
From Concept to Completion
Colonial Stained Glass Pty Ltd was established in 1983 by Ian Dixon, as a leadlight manufacturing studio. Within four years of operation the business grew to become one of Perth’s leading studios. Frustration due to lack of available materials and no new innovation in Perth led to Colonial Stained Glass becoming a self-sufficient supplier, manufacturer and creator of Art Glass products. This enabled Ian and his staff to facilitate and develop fresh ideas for the Stained Glass Industry.
