Description

Drop-out moulds are made for deeper vessels, art objects etc. Thanks to the lack of contact of the glass with the mould, the final piece has a shiny, texture free outside, reminiscent of blown glass.

By monitoring the drop out process any type of dinnerware can be made, e.g. soup and salad bowls, dessert plates etc..

Depending on the original glass thickness, the depth and the width of the drop-out, many different final shapes are possible. By cutting off the lip – straight or in jagged line – you can create sophisticated deep bowls, vases and other art work.
