Battery powered, Short Wave UV light torch to be used in order to determine the tin side of a piece of Float Glass. Shining the light as a 45 Degree angle to the surface of the glass, the tin side will appear to have a mist, while the reverse will be clear. Face the tin side down in your kiln.
