Description

SilkeMat is a NON-CARCINOGENIC refractory fibre blanket that can be cut, moulded, rigidised and formed. It can also be used with and without rigidising. There is no “shot” (tiny bits of silica) in this product and most firings are clean, leaving only the texture of the fibre on the glass.

A high-grade boron nitride separator is suggested for a cleaner release from the glass when exceeding 1400F on rigidized SilkeMat.

INSTRUCTIONS

• Mix 1 part dry mix to 4 parts distilled water in a clean container.
• Full packet makes approx. 2 Litres.
• USE A DUST MASK WHEN MIXING.
• Mix well and let stand 12-24 hours
• Stir well and mix thoroughly with an electric hand blender.
• Use a strainer to remove any unmixed particles. It is now reconstituted and ready to use.
• Keep container sealed and stir again before using, as the ingredients settle.

This product is non-flammable and non-hazardous in liquid form.
