This two hour course will introduce you to the delights of making beautiful glass componentry for jewellery.

An introductory fusing class where you will create your own beautiful coloured glass platter. This course will cover correct glass-cutting techniques and great tips for arranging and firing your platter. Cost includes materials, kiln firing and slumping, and hire of tools. This sought after course is designed to introduce the basic principles of glass firing and offering an opportunity to be instructed by Ian Dixon. Ian is an exhibited glass artist with works in The Art Gallery of Western Australia, Australian National Glass Collection, Art Bank, Australian Capital Equity, and many private collections both in Australia and overseas.  Ian has over 30 years of experience both as an artist and mentor. Students will be educated on essential techniques including a large variety of functional information; such as the best products to obtain professional results and scientific principles in glass fusing. You will be taught the intricacies of firing schedules so that you can confidently execute your own works of art.
