An introductory fusing class where you will create your own beautiful coloured glass platter. This course will cover correct glass-cutting techniques and great tips for arranging and firing your platter.

Cost includes materials, kiln firing and slumping, and hire of tools. Students can bring their own tools if preferred.

Workshop Readiness – What You’ll Need

To help our tutors provide the best possible experience for everyone, we kindly ask that participants attending our Leadlight, Copper Foil, and Mosaic Workshops have the following physical abilities:

1. Age Requirements – Students must be 16 years old or over.

2. Ability to stand for extended periods – Much of the workshop involves hands-on work at a bench or worktable.

3. Good hand and grip strength – Cutting, shaping, and handling glass requires some pressure and control.

4. Steady hands – Precision is important when working with glass and applying fine detail.

5. Ability to follow instructions – For safety and best results, it’s essential to work step-by-step with your tutor’s guidance.
