Have you been thinking about starting glass art but don’t know where to begin? Try one of our glass art workshops with an experienced glass artists to find out all the tips and tricks you need to begin.
Most of our classes are designed for beginners and our instructors will guide students through cutting glass to creating a beautiful custom piece of art. In our classroom, you will have access to all the tools of the trade and detailed instructions on how to use each.

Leadlight Weekend
26 July @ 9:30 am - 27 July @ 5:00 pm
| $275.00This comprehensive course will allow students to produce a high standard of work & the confidence to continue alone. The aim of the course is to design & manufacture a traditional leadlight panel. The course will run on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 5pm each day.
Areas covered include: Safety and health aspects of glasswork, Glass cutting techniques, Use of art glass, selection principles, and designing for leadlight.
Manufacturing Techniques include: Preparing cartoons, selecting and cutting glass, leading panels & soldering techniques, and cementing and finishing processes. Cost includes a
- Digital Fundamentals of Leadlighting book,
- Glass
- Lead.

Workshop Readiness – What You’ll Need
To help our tutors provide the best possible experience for everyone, we kindly ask that participants attending our Leadlight, Copper Foil, and Mosaic Workshops have the following physical abilities:
- Age Requirements – Students must be 16 years old or over.
Ability to stand for extended periods – Much of the workshop involves hands-on work at a bench or worktable.
Good hand and grip strength – Cutting, shaping, and handling glass requires some pressure and control.
Steady hands – Precision is important when working with glass and applying fine detail.
Ability to follow instructions – For safety and best results, it’s essential to work step-by-step with your tutor’s guidance.
